"In January of 2011 I had my 1st training session with Rachel at True Personal Training. My Life has changed in so many ways. She is so knowledgeable in personal fitness and how to incorporate the proper diet to get the best results. Rachel leads by example. Her love for making peoples lives healthier makes her such a wonderful trainer. She customizes specialized workouts that are the perfect combination of cardio and weight training just for me. I never get bored because they are always different. She has taught me how to believe in myself. I now say "I GOT THIS!" instead of I can't. 
In the past I always felt out of place at a personal training center or gym. As if the trainers judged me. At True Personal Training I have NEVER once felt that way. Jessie and Rachel have always made me feel like I belong there. Any questions I have they always take the time to answer them for me. Rachel has taught me to go above my comfort zone and try new things. Because of Rachel I have gone from a couch potato to a very active and healthy woman. She has taught me to set realistic goals and work towards achieving them. My personal trainer is the best. So if you want to be the best then work out with the best!

"By the time I was 52 the seemingly inescapable appearance of soft muscles, jelly belly , flat butt, back fat, round shoulders, poor posture and vanishing waistline, was progressing fast. Many of my muscle had diminished in fact I had matured into the exact look I was trying to avoid. However other people in their 40 and 50's had similar symptoms therefore I believed it was the natural process of aging. In fact, people even make jokes about being out of shape but for me neglecting myself wasn't or isn't funny. The truth was I was stuck in a body that looked as bad as it felt.
In 2007 I joined the gym. Unfortunately, after a year of daily exercise I found that both my muscles and hope continued to deteriorate. Finally, in 2008 I called Jesse at True Training and he referred me to Rachel, a personal trainer. I was very impressed with first her appearance and then her knowledge. Rachel told me information that was the exact opposite of what I knew.... it was possible to grow muscles and be physically fit at any age if I follow the diet and exercise plan she recommended. And it was just that simple! I believed her, I listened to her, I followed her suggestions and it worked. My physical appearance drastically improved as well as my over all health. My blood pressure is 107/75 , I competed in two figure competitions in 2011 and plan to compete in June 2013, tire flipping contest in 2012 and 2013, and a few running events one was 10 miles. Still amazed by the results, at 56 years old I exercise daily, eat healthy and listen to my trainer, Rachel. Rachel restored my hope, confidence and muscles.....absolutely priceless. Self neglect is like an infection. Left untreated it will spread throughout our entire system of disciplines and eventually lead to a complete breakdown of potentially joy filled and healthy human life."

When my wife and I first contacted Rachel about losing weight, I told her I didn’t have any motivation whatsoever. Her reply was “Great day, not even a little bit?” I really didn’t, but I decided to try it out one time. I had never been to a personal trainer before; I had barely darkened the door of a gym. But I knew I was overweight and needed to do something. I hate diets and I like to eat. It runs in my family’s genes. The first session was tough, especially when she calculated my metabolic age. But she assured me that if I followed her instructions, things would get better. She is very knowledgeable about her profession. I had cancer in 1993 and had a plate put in my hip. Obviously, I had some exercise concerns. She knew just what exercises I needed and the right way for me to do them. After a week or so, I found myself wanting to continue. I started becoming motivated. Rachel was so in tune with my goals, it was like I didn’t want to let her down, much less myself. She encouraged me through the pain. One of her favorite sayings is “sweat is your fat cells crying”. Her attitude and her personal physical discipline were such an inspiration to me. After 8 weeks I reached my goal of losing 20 pounds. My wife lost 15 pounds. The exercise program Rachel designed for us obviously was a big part of the success. I feel stronger now. I can get out of a car with straining. I can run a good ways without being out of breath. But where Rachel really helped me is in the way I look at food. I grew up old school where you better clean your plate or mom is going to be upset. I ate all the bad stuff. Rachel helped me understand the way my body uses food. Day by day, she would make little changes to my eating habits, teaching me the right way to eat. I found myself looking at a spice jar one day to see how much sodium was in it. At that point, I knew Rachel had made an impact on my life. Anything we do in life that is worthwhile is going to cost us something. A lot of it has to do with mindset. Quick story….I was on the balcony of a 10 story apartment one day with my oldest son. As we stood there, looking out over the trees, over the buildings, our view unobstructed, I noticed construction of another apartment building going on right next door to us. The construction process for the new building had just begun. The workers were working on its foundation. Their jobsite was surrounded by a chain-link fence…for security purposes most likely. I told my son to look down at the workers. I told him that when they raise their heads up from their work, all they can see are fence-lined walls. Their perspective of the world was different than ours at that moment. Life is about perspective; our mindset. It’s how we see our world, our failures and success, each other and ourselves. My mindset about my weight was …all I can see are walls to stop me from advancing forward. Rachel helped me to rise above those thoughts and see way beyond. She can help you too!"

"I consider my sessions with Rachel Guyton as a profitable investment. I have worked out on my own, on and off since I was 18 years old. I have never really had a weight issue, however due to bad eating habits I would periodically pack on about 10 extra pounds.
